Case Manager- Support Center

Kafa is looking to contract a Case manager on a full-time basis. The Case Manager is responsible for managing GBV cases while providing counselling to the beneficiaries on psychological and legal support services. As well as referrals to other service providers as needed. The Case manager will work closely with the Support Center Supervisor.

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Conduct a listening and counselling session to determine the case situation and assess the social surrounding and support.
2. Inform the beneficiary about the safety plan to be carried out at the time of violence incidents.
3. Refer the beneficiary for psychological assessment to determine the psychological state and readiness for legal action.
4. Council the beneficiary along with the lawyer to determine legal options, establish an action plan and take consent of the beneficiary.
5. Refer emergency cases to forensic doctors, psychologists, lawyers, and shelters.
6. Follow up with the lawyer, beneficiary, and psychologist on progress of the case.
7. Participate in weekly and monthly case management meetings to discuss challenging cases in the presence of GBV consultants.
8. Participate in weekly case management meetings to present the cases at hand, discuss the action plans, and report on progress.
9. Participate in monthly meetings where challenging cases and success stories are presented in the presence of GBV case management consultants.
10. Refer beneficiaries to psychotherapy sessions as recommended, and follow up on obtaining reports on regular basis.
11. Prepare reports about GBV cases to the specialized courts when requested.
12. Obtain assistance for beneficiaries by referring them to community resources; establishing rapport with other NGOs, and assigning beneficiaries to recommended workshops and training sessions.
13. Ensure proper documentation of cases and follow-up processes.
14. Keep up-to-date information about GBV laws and regulations in the country.
15. Adhere to the support center operational and ethical guidelines.

1. Skills & knowledge:
   • Good knowledge of MS Office software and outlook
   • Fluency/working proficiency in both English and Arabic (written and verbal).
   • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and writing)
