About KAFA:
KAFA (enough) Violence & Exploitation is a feminist, secular, Lebanese, non-profit, non-governmental civil society organization seeking to create a society that is free of social, economic and legal patriarchal structures that discriminate against women.
KAFA has been aiming to eliminate all forms of exploitation and violence against women since its establishment in 2005.
It seeks to realize substantive gender equality through the adoption of a combination of different approaches, such as: Advocacy for law reform and introduction of new laws and policies; influencing public opinion, practices and mentality; conducting research and training; and empowering women and children victims of violence, and providing them with social, legal, and psychological support. Our focus areas are: Family violence; Exploitation and trafficking in women, especially in migrant domestic workers and women in prostitution; Child protection, particularly from sexual and gender-based violence.
About the project:
Building on the experience KAFA built within its centers in Beirut and Bekaa, and based on KAFA’s Support Center numbers in Beirut showing that almost 30% of women accessing case management services in KAFA are from the north area, KAFA is opening a safe space for adolescents and women in Batroun area and surroundings.
The center aims at equipping adolescents and women with knowledge and skills helping them to prevent GBV and report any kind of abuse through providing awareness sessions with children, adolescents and women related to GBV and SGBV. A center supervisor is required to manage the implementation of all activities in the center in Batroun and surroundings.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise the overall activities of the center;
Manage maintenance, security and activity supplies needs of the center with the relevant resources/service providers;
Develop and maintain cooperative working relationships/referral systems with UPEL, shelters, SDCs, local businesses, community organizations, hospitals, police, and other stakeholders.
Ensure the close coordination and sharing of information with the various activities of the program staff including program coordinator, program officer, case managers, psychotherapists and lawyers;
Ensure the achievement of the projects’ objectives, indicators and target groups;
Provide reports on meetings held with stakeholders, donors, staff or any other relevant meeting;
Submit regular monitoring and progress reports in English ensuring timely submission of reports and meeting deadlines;
Manage the center’s petty cash based on the activities’ budget with the coordination of the Projects Coordinators;
Ensure the implementation of the program’s philosophy into procedures of the center;
Attend relevant workshops and trainings as instructed;
Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the Project Coordinator;
Coordinate with M&E consultant and provide him/her with needed information and database and documents related to monitoring activities;
Attend coordination meetings when required;
Abide by all KAFA’s policies and procedures.
