Since 2005, KAFA is working to increase the social and legal protection of migrant domestic workers who are often exploited within households and by the policies applied on them. KAFA’s efforts on this level evolve around evidence-based advocacy, awareness raising and campaigning, and socio-legal support to victims of exploitation.
Duties: KAFA is looking for a qualified English teacher to conduct beginner English classes to a group of 12 adults. The teacher will be expected to lead 18 language sessions on the basis of 2 one-hour sessions per week.
The applicant must be able to conduct the following duties:
- Teach Migrant Domestic Workers and Syrian women beginner level English.
- Provide students with a set of sessions on basic writing, reading, speaking skills.
- Prepare, animate, and lead courses in a creative and kind way.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of English teaching experience, preferably with non-Arabic native women
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Show great flexibility and adaptability
- Good knowledge of gender issues and violence against women
- Commitment to the principles of equality and non-discrimination
