Field Officer – Peace Building project

Scope of work:

As part of KAFA’s vision to create a society that is free of social, economic, and legal patriarchal structures that discriminate against women, a project entitled “Peace Building and Reconciliation – A Gender Perspective” was implemented in partnership with UN Women aiming for reconciliation and peacebuilding, through a series of activities.

Thus, KAFA is seeking qualified candidates for a field officer position to support the implementation of this community engagement project.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities (include but are not limited to)

  • Support the Project coordinator while working closely with relevant stakeholders and assist in the day-to-day operations and implementation of the project’s activities.
  • Collaborate with the Project Coordinator and implementing partners and provide needed support to ensure efficient implementation of the project’s activities.
  • Outreach targeted community through field visits and networking with existing networks.
  • Assist in the planning of workshops, training, and other project events and activities as needed.
  • Collaborate with KAFA’s finance team to fulfill payments and other project expenditures.
  • Arrange for venues, transportation, and other logistics tasks.
  • Support the organization of networking events.
  • Maintain project records such as databases, reports, and records of decisions.
  • Ensure that all documents related to the project are properly filed and archived

Education Degree Details
• Bachelor’s Degree in Development, Political Science, International Affairs, Social Sciences, or another relevant subject.
• Aware of GBV principles and adopting a feminist approach.
• Minimum two years of related experience in the administrative field.
• Familiarity with peacebuilding and community engagement.
• Aware of the local context (Lebanese history), preferably with experience in “dealing with the past”
• Ability to work with women from different backgrounds and ages.
• Excellent interpersonal and networking skills.
• Spoken and written fluency in English and Arabic.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• A self-motivated team player; able to prioritize tasks during tight deadlines.
• The initiative and ability to carry out tasks with minimal supervision
• Cultural sensitivity and adaptability.
