KAFA is seeking a Program Coordinator to successfully implement projects within the Anti-trafficking Unit. The successful candidate will coordinate actions related to women victims of human trafficking - particularly victims of sex trafficking - and will be expected to perform on the following tasks:
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead and oversee the planning and implementation of projects within the Anti-Trafficking Unit:
Develop key program tools; coordinate multiple projects within the Unit; ensure consistent quality program design and implementation across projects, liaise with various stakeholders including service providers, operations’ managers, director of finance, and donors inside and outside Lebanon.
Monitor and evaluate project results to achieve project outputs:
Develop and implement monitoring plans; monitor and evaluate active projects using M&E tools; ensure that data is collected and entered regularly into databases and tracking sheets; develop indicators of achievement when necessary; accurately evaluate and report on project impacts.
Monitor project expenditures and support Head of Finance with financial reporting:
Monitor project budgets; oversee project expenditures, support financial reporting by preparing bid analysis and requests for reallocations; work closely with the finance team to ensure that grant is on track and that project is implemented in accordance with KAFA’s financial guidelines and requirements.
Report to donors on projects undertaken by the Anti-trafficking Unit:
On a monthly or quarterly basis, report on projects’ progress and outputs working in collaboration with projects’ stakeholders.
Grant writing and Program Development:
Actively seek new funding opportunities and develop concept notes and project proposals; develop log frames and indicators; prepare budgets and develop key program documents; develop and maintain strong relationships with donors and potential donors.
Advocacy, Communication and Research
Develop materials and conduct awareness raising and training sessions for different groups of stakeholders; identify new opportunities in terms of advocacy and actions to the Anti-trafficking Unit’s strategy; contribute to advocacy, communication, and research activities undertaken by the Unit; actively participate to and report on monthly SGBV Task Force meetings; respond to media inquiries and represent Kafa in local and international forums.
Work Experience:
- Minimum 7 years of relevant professional experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience managing GBV projects (implementing GBV response and/or prevention programs, evaluating projects), preferably in the humanitarian context
Demonstrated skills and competencies:
- Advanced academic degree in a relevant field (Humanities, Law, Human Rights, Migration, Gender studies, etc.);
- Demonstrated commitment to women’s rights and empowerment;
- Good understanding of protection response to SGBV (particularly in relation case management and psychosocial support)
- Strong project planning and organizational skills and solid grasp of the project management cycle;
- Practical experience in communicating and working with Lebanese State and non-state actors and local and international organizations;
- High flexibility in mobility and availability to work outside hours and at night time in case of emergency;
- Excellent Arabic and English written and oral communication skills; French is highly desirable
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to perform under stress, in a team, and with people from diverse backgrounds;
