On the individual level:
- Provide crisis intervention and long termsupport to women victims of SGBV Conduct visits to detention centers and prisons, and provide socio-legal counselling to women in detention;
- Co-operate the Anti-trafficking Helpline;
- Assist women in obtaining the desired services such as accessing a safe shelter; seeking medical examination, participating in recreational activities, etc.;
- Support women accessing justice, coordinate with KAFA’s lawyer, approach authorities, attend police or judicial investigation, etc.;
- Liaise and coordinate with external service providers to ensure a comprehensive support to women;
- Act according to the best interest of the women by adopting a survivor-centered approach;
- Adhere to strict standards of confidentiality required in dealing with SGBV victims/survivors, and abide by KAFA’s established guidelines on sexual and gender-based violence and exploitation;
- Be available and reachable outside regular working hours to address emergencies.
On the group and community level:
- Conduct frequent field visits to relevant communities or groups at risk and assess their needs;
- Organize outreach activities, and design and deliver psychosocial activities;
- Deliver awareness sessions on labor and sexual exploitation;
- Attend community or groups’ events when relevant.
On the institutional level:
- Maintain regular communication with the management in order to ensure a coordinated response and evaluate priorities of action;
- Prepare progress reports regularly, and ensure proper documentation and updating of the individual files of the cases;
- Monitoring and Evaluation: periodically reassess beneficiaries’ needs and progress in meeting the objectives defined for each beneficiary;
- Enter data regularly in KAFA’s case management database and ensure quality of data;
- Represent KAFA in relevant forums and meetings;
- Abide by KAFA’s values, mission and vision, and policies;
- Keeps track of latest developments in social work area as well as changes in national legislation policies and practices related to SGBV survivors.

- University degree in social work;
- A minimum of 5 years of practical experience and case management and awareness work with vulnerable groups particularly with women;
- A proven record of SGBV knowledge and experience;
- Works with honesty and integrity;
- Ability to quickly build trust and rapport in interpersonal relationships;
- High respect of and ability to work with people from diverse socio-economic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds;
- Demonstrated ability to deal effectively with challenging social problems and behaviors;
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
- High level of flexibility in terms of time and mobility and availability to work for long hours and at night time in case of emergencies;
- Strong oral and written skills. Fluency in Arabic and English is a must. Knowledge of French is a plus.
