Kalimat Association is a nonprofit organization dedicated to fostering education, creativity, and innovation among children and youth. With branches in multiple locations, the association provides diverse educational programs, including robotics, programming, mental arithmetic, chess, arts, theater, and STEAM-based learning. Kalimat also organizes key events such as the RoboCamp summer program, the ARC robotics championship, and the ACT chess tournament. Additionally, the organization collaborates with international partners to implement impactful projects that empower young learners and promote skill development. Position Overview
We are looking for a Voice More Officer to lead and coordinate activities related to youth participation and advocacy under the Voice More methodology. VoiceMore is War Child’s youth advocates development programme, which empowers young people affected by armed conflict to share their experiences and act on issues impacting young people The officer will be responsible for empowering young people to express their concerns, engage in meaningful dialogue, and advocate for positive change in their communities.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the implementation of the Voice More methodology, ensuring youth engagement and participation.
- Facilitate workshops, training sessions, and discussions that empower young participants.
- Support youth-led initiatives and advocacy campaigns on social issues.
- Collaborate with local and international partners to create meaningful engagement opportunities.
- Monitor and evaluate the impact of the program, ensuring continuous improvement.
- Report on progress, challenges, and successes to stakeholders.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Education, Psychology, or a related field.
- Experience working with youth, advocacy programs, or community engagement.
- Strong facilitation, communication, and leadership skills.
- Understanding of child protection and safeguarding principles.
- Ability to work in a multicultural and dynamic environment.
- Proficiency in English.
