Instructor of English Language

Key areas of Responsibility

• Deliver 5 classes of English Language instruction to a section of up to 25 students with curriculum provided
• Assigning and grading exercises
• Giving feedback and communicating effectively with students who are from disadvantaged backgrounds
• Delivering the material in a technology-enhanced format utilizing online materials prepared specifically for the program
• Reporting as required
• Participating in occasional training and evaluation sessions

• Teaching Hours: 5 classes per week (4 hours teaching/class)

Key Qualifications Characteristics

• Experience teaching English in a high school (grade 12), university, or training institute (experience teaching students from underprivileged communities would be an added advantage)
• Skilled in engaging learners with diverse previous educational experience utilizing student-centered learning techniques
• Passionate about working with young people and disadvantaged communities
• Good facilitation and time management skills
• Strong skills in basic computer applications, previous experience using online resources and technology in the classroom is a plus
