The Logistics Officer plays a vital role in supporting the successful implementation of Key of Life’s projects by ensuring efficient procurement, supply chain management, transportation, and asset oversight. The Logistics Officer will collaborate closely with internal teams, partners, and vendors to ensure that operations run smoothly and in compliance with organizational and donor regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Procurement and Supply Chain Management
Plan, coordinate, and execute procurement activities in line with project requirements.
Source suppliers, request and evaluate quotations, and negotiate contracts to ensure value for money.
Ensure transparency and compliance with internal policies and donor regulations.
2. Inventory and Asset Control
Maintain and monitor accurate inventory records and asset registers.
Track stock movements and implement best practices in inventory management.
Ensure proper maintenance and usage of office and project assets.
3. Transportation and Distribution
Organize and oversee transportation of goods and equipment to project sites or beneficiaries.
Coordinate with drivers, suppliers, and field teams to ensure timely and safe delivery.
4. Facilities and Office Support
Manage logistical needs of offices, storage facilities, and accommodation when needed.
Ensure facilities are functional, clean, and compliant with safety standards.
5. Compliance and Documentation
Ensure all procurement and logistics documentation is complete, well-organized, and audit-ready.
Maintain records of purchases, vendor evaluations, and shipping documents.
6. Budget Oversight
Monitor logistical expenditures and provide input during budgeting and forecasting.
Support cost-effectiveness and ensure spending aligns with project budgets.
7. Risk Management
Identify and mitigate potential logistical risks or delays.
Respond to logistical emergencies and adapt plans as needed.
