Arabic Editor

Purpose of the assignment:

Kvinna till Kvinna is looking for an Arabic editor to edit and refine notes from four webinars into a Knowledge Production Product that accurately captures the discussions, key insights, and recommendations while ensuring clarity, and readability.

In addition to documenting the webinars, the report will generate localized insights using creative methods such as illustrative products. This Product will be disseminated to a broader audience, ensuring that the narratives and discussions reach and inform a diverse range of women and feminist organizations and groups, Women Human Rights Defenders (WHRDs), activists, and communities across the MENA region.

Scope of Work

The editor’s responsibilities will include:

• Review and organize the raw webinar notes, and any supporting materials.
• Ensure the report follows a logical structure
• Coordinate with the Illustrators who will be designing the illustrations for the report
• Edit for clarity, coherence, and grammatical accuracy while maintaining the original intent of speakers.
• Standardize formatting and language to ensure consistency throughout the document.
• Incorporate any feedback from Kvinna till Kvinna and revise accordingly.
• Deliver a final, polished version of the report within the agreed timeframe.

Deliverables

• Draft report based on webinar notes (formatted and structured).
• Final edited report incorporating feedback and revisions.

• Proven experience in editing, report writing, or similar roles.
• Strong command of Arabic and excellent writing skills.
• Ability to synthesize complex discussions into concise and clear summaries.
• Experience working on reports related to women empowerment.
• Familiarity with gender-sensitive language and inclusive communication.
