Facilitator for a Webinar session

Kvinna till Kvinna is looking for an experienced facilitator to moderate a 2-hour webinar session focusing on Feminist and inclusive approaches to facilitating dialogue in sensitive contexts or among politically diverse groups, with attention to safeguarding and well-being practices.

 

 

The overall objective of this consultancy is to design and facilitate a dynamic online webinar that:

  1. Encourages meaningful participation and dialogue among panelists and participants.
  2. Ensures smooth moderation, time management, and transitions throughout the event.
  3. Frames the discussion around the agreed topic and draws out key insights and recommendations.

 

 

Scope of Work

The facilitator's responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborating with the organizing team to understand the session’ objectives, and participant profiles.
  • Developing a facilitation plan, agenda, and guiding questions
  • Coordinating with speakers/panelists before the webinar to clarify roles, expectations, and discussion flow.
  • Moderating the webinar, including:
    • Introducing the topic and speakers.
    • Guiding the discussion and ensuring balance among speakers.
    • Managing participant questions and contributions (Q&A, chat, polls).
    • Keeping track of time and ensuring objectives are achieved.
  • Facilitating an inclusive and respectful environment for dialogue.
  • Summarizing key points and recommendations at the conclusion of the webinar.
  • Submitting a short facilitation note/report (2–3 pages) summarizing the event, including key outcomes and lessons learned.

 

Deliverables

The facilitator will deliver the following:

  • A facilitation plan, agenda, and guiding questions
  • Active and effective facilitation/training during the session.
  • Summary report or insights gathered from participant discussions.

 

Management and organisation:

The facilitator will be working closely with the Kvinna till Kvinna team to ensure that the session reaches its objectives. The facilitator will be responsible for completing and delivering the above specified deliverables to Kvinna till Kvinna.

 

Timeline:

The assignment is expected to be completed before 10th of December 2025. Key milestones and deadlines will be agreed upon with the selected expert.

 

 

Required qualifications:
  • Proven experience in facilitating or moderating webinars or sessions related to justice issues.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage group dynamics and create a safe and inclusive environment for all participants.
  • Familiarity with interactive facilitation techniques and tools.
  • Arabic Language is a must.
  • Familiarity with the Syrian context and the wider SWANA region is strongly preferred
