Strategic Communication, Visibility, and Rebranding Expert

Purpose of the assignment:


Kvinna till Kvinna seeks to engage a Strategic Communication, visibility and Rebranding Expert to support one of our partner organization’s in:

  • Developing and advising on strategies that expand their reach across relevant audiences and networks.
  • Establishing effective, platform-specific social media content and engagement approaches.
  • Producing a clear, actionable communication strategy and plan.
  • Improving their newsletter format and engagement potential.
  • Outlining an initial plan for the rebranding launch.

 

 

Scope of Work:

A. Visibility Enhancement

    • Conduct a rapid visibility assessment of our partner’s current communication channels and outputs.
    • Provide strategic guidance to expand visibility within key networks, partnerships, and media outlets.
    • Identify opportunities for our partner to engage in relevant sectoral events, coalitions, and campaigns.

B. Social Media Strategy & Management

    • Develop tailored content strategies for each of our partner’s platform (e.g., Facebook, Twitter/X, Instagram, LinkedIn).
    • Provide guidelines for rapid and effective communication during key events, crises, or advocacy moments.
    • Recommend tools and workflows for streamlined content creation and scheduling.

C. Strategic Communication Planning

    • Draft a comprehensive communication strategy aligned with our partner’s mission, values, and program priorities.
    • Translate the strategy into a realistic, implementable communication plan for their team.
    • Integrate strategic communication into advocacy and campaign activities, ensuring consistent messaging and branding.

D. Newsletter Development

    • Review and assess our pratner’s current newsletter format, tone, and content.
    • Propose improvements to layout, style, and structure to increase audience engagement and reach.

E. Rebranding Guidance

    • Provide a concept outline for the rebranding launch, including visual identity, messaging, and rollout timeline.
    • Recommend actions to ensure smooth transition and stakeholder buy-in.

 

Deliverables:

    • Visibility Assessment Report – Summary of current visibility status and key recommendations.
    • Platform-Specific Social Media Strategies – Content guidelines, engagement tactics, and management workflows.
    • Strategic Communication Strategy – Comprehensive document with objectives, target audiences, messages, channels, and KPIs.
    • Actionable Communication Plan – Practical implementation roadmap with timelines and responsibilities.
    • Newsletter Revamp Plan – New format, content approach, and engagement recommendations.
    • Rebranding Launch Outline – Initial concept, messaging direction, and rollout plan.

 

Timeline:

The assignment is expected to be completed in 3 months. Key milestones and deadlines will be agreed upon with the selected expert.

 

Required qualifications:

 

    • Proven experience in strategic communication, visibility planning, and brand development.
    • Demonstrated success in social media strategy and content development for non-profits or similar organizations.
    • Experience integrating communication strategies into advocacy and campaign work.
    • Strong writing, editing, and design sensibility.
    • Ability to deliver practical, actionable plans suited to a small-to-medium NGO context.
    • Fluency in Arabic (spoken and written).
    • Strong knowledge of the context in Syria and the wider SWANA region.
