CD4 Capacity Building Subaward

CD4 is seeking applications from Lebanese Organizations (Non-Governmental Organizations, Social Enterprises, or Cooperatives, among others) to provide capacity building (Technical Assistance, Training, Business Coaching) to promote the sustainability, business performance, good governance, role, and value of agro-processing and special food Lebanese primary cooperatives that are displaying market orientation, growth potential and ability to deliver value-adding services to their members.

Applicants are invited to propose innovative approaches and tools to provide capacity building, business coaching among other activities to take the performance of agro-processing and special food cooperatives to the next level and transform them into professional business enterprises with strong and effective leadership and good governance.

The CD4 team will review the applicant’s list of ten suggested Lebanese primary cooperatives (to be submitted with the application) operating in the agro-processing and special food sector and will make final selection of the cooperatives to work with during the award implementation according to the following criteria:

  • Legally Registered under the Lebanese General Directorate of Cooperatives,
  • Specialized in the production of special Lebanese processed food “Mouneh”,
  • Established operational premises,
  • Market oriented with growth potential,
  • Ability to deliver value services to their members,
  • Cleared by the GDC as an active cooperative,
  • Active board that is willing to participate and commit to the CD4 objectives, and
  • Women lead cooperatives are to be prioritized.

Prospective partners must demonstrate a commitment to the overall objectives of the CD4 activity and prove its ability to select potential successful Lebanese cooperatives, deliver professional capacity building services including business coaching, training, technical assistance among other activities immediately. This award will be completed within a nine-month timeline after signing the award.

All applications must be written in English and submitted electronically (in MS-Word or PDF file format) via email by February 8th, 2022, at 11:59PM in Beirut, to: myehya@landolakes.com
