Grants Manager

Land O’Lakes International Development is seeking candidates for the position of Grants Manager for the Lebanon Investment in Quality LINQ program that aims at increasing the competitiveness of key actors in the agricultural and food processing industry. The project will focus on improving capacity, systems, and practices in food safety, food quality, marketing, and access to markets. This position will focus on the project’s Component 2 – facilitating technology upgrading through investment partnerships and grants. The project will establish a competitive investment grants mechanism to unlock access to finance and investment partner co-investment to upgrade production of quality and safe food, access markets (including for export), develop new products and/or new and efficient production.

Primary responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to the following:

  • Assist short-listed applicants to refine their application working in coordination with technical team colleagues to develop a technically sound approach to upgrading production capacity;
  • Analyzing and evaluating grant submissions for technical and budget soundness and compliance with USAID regulations, recommending award actions to the contract team;
  • Overseeing the donor review and approval process;
  • Coordinating the issuance of awards and maintain contract documentation through the development and upkeep of Land O’Lakes grants database and document management system;
  • Providing direct technical support to the programs primary local NGO partner and sub-awardee;
  • Coordinating closely with the Chief of Party to ensure grants fit within the overall program goals and objectives;
  • Preparing scheduled and special reports, studies and analyses regarding the small grants program;
  • Analyze and evaluate activity applications, proposals, and agreement/award documents to ensure consistency with program goals and objectives;
  • Provide overall leadership and management to large-scale procurement activities;
  • Communicate regularly with project grantees, working with them to assess performance of and compliance with grant activities.
