Deputy Executive Director

1. BASIC FUNCTION: Assist the Executive Director in Managing and following up of all of LADE projects, in close coordination with LADE’s program manager and LADE’s Financial Manager. Implement the objectives of the Association as set forth by the board and  create the work and processes necessary to execute these objectives. Develops strategic plans in collaboration with the Executive Director and the board for the long term future of the organization. Recommend partners, resources, opportunities, and funding to implement the mission and objectives of the association; design potential projects in close coordination with the ED and the program manager. Be responsible for heavy calendar management, requiring interaction with both internal and external executives and assistants, as well as consultants, to coordinate meetings with executives, consultants, etc. Following up on results, with both Program and Financial Managers. 2.ADMINSTRATIVE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for the daily management of LADE and its staff.  Coordinate office activities and schedules; develop and recommend office procedures and systems; ensure smooth office operations, in coordination with both Program and Financial Managers. Co - Chair the bi – weekly Staff Meetings Responsible of the financial well being of the organization by assuring, that all projects are in accordance with the Approved Donor’s Budget, in coordination with LADE’s financial Manager and LADE's program manager. Responsible of Recruiting, mentoring, motivating and managing Staff under the direct supervision of the ED and the Board and in coordination with LADE’s Program Manager on the projects employees. Responsible for maintaining the Culture of the Organization. Assisting the ED in preparing the Board Meeting agenda in collaboration with the Secretary. Prepare a yearly plan, and a yearly report to be approved by the ED, the board and presented to the General Assembly meeting. Recommend policies and strategies for the marketing of the association Attend all LADE meetings (Board, General Assembly, Committees). Responsible with the ED for applying for proposals, writing/reviewing proposals in coordination of the Program Manager Review miscellaneous reports and documents when needed report the following: ü  Adequate reporting to donors in collaboration with the Program Manager /project coordinators.   ü  Responsible with the ED for the briefing to the board, about all of LADE’s activities. ü  Responsible of the bi-monthly report to LADE Board. ü  Responsible of the Yearly Report  of the organization ü  Prepare internal reports, 3. REPRESENTATION: All the representation tasks of the Deputy executive director are done under the direct supervision of the ED. Coordinates with donors, partners and all regional and international Organizations LADE Focal Point for Embassies, NGOs, and Donors Assigning, with the ED, LADE Representatives in Local seminars, workshops and trainings Advising the Board on Representatives for Regional and international Workshops and trainings  6. JOB REQUIREMENTS and MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: A. JOB REQUIREMENTS:   Background & expertise in Electoral Law, Electoral Reform and Election Observation. At least 5 years of experience in NGOs At least 5 years of experience in Project Management Fluency in written and spoken English, and Arabic Knowledge of French language is an asset Competent Time management performance Excellent Interpersonal and communication skills Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality Ability to communicate with the variable personalities Knowledgeable for the financial and accounting systems B. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Master Degree in NGO management, political science or any related field Expert in main computer applications (Microsoft Office Application…)
