Programme Coordinator

Overview The Lebanese Association for Democratic Elections (LADE) was founded in Lebanon by a number of activists in the public sector on March 13, 1996. LADE is a civil, independent and nonprofit organization specialized in elections and how closely they are linked to democracy. LADE is concerned with monitoring the elections in their different forms as well as studying the electoral systems and laws according to the international democratic electoral standards, especially standards that guarantee free, fair and transparent elections. Job Purpose: To assist in supervising the implementation of LADE’s programs, in addition to the association’s outreach plan, and ensure that the development, implementation, and evaluation of LADE’s projects & activities are in line with the overall strategy.  Key Result Areas:( a maximum of six areas): a.    Development of a relevant and effective program strategy that contributes to the achievement of LADE’s vision and strategic goals: Assist in the implementation of LADE’s strategic plan. Oversee the implementation of the ongoing projects and measure the impact of LADE’s interventions through KPIs. Lead on the monitoring operations in Universities/Schools, draft reports and propose recommendations to reform the legal framework of students-councils’ elections. Follow up with LADE’s districts’ coordinators, speakers, and trainers on all programme aspects, such as training and recruitment of observers for the next operation in May 2018.    Help in preparing two TOT trainings as well one districts’ coordinators orientation training. Design and develop project proposals and assist the ED in discussing them with potential donors: Contribute to the development of concept notes and proposals. Work closely with the finance manager in preparing budgets. Work closely with the ED in reviewing KPIs and validating project activities and outcomes. Manage the human resources of the department: Assist in the recruitment of the required human resources (Including districts coordinators). Provide newcomers with the needed induction and assign tasks and responsibilities. Conduct performance appraisal for districts coordinators, speakers, and trainers. Coach the staff and develop their capacities in collaboration with the ED. Assist in the executive management of LADE Participate at the LADE’s managers’ meetings and at Board meetings if requested by the ED. Produce regular progress reports and other reports if required. Assist in the organization of the general assembly and other LADE’s major gatherings. Ensures the compliance with LADE’s values, policies, and procedures. Assist in the creation of an enabling work environment. Minimum Qualifications: Education Master Degree in public administration, political science, NGO management or any related field. Or a bachelor degree with additional years of experience. Fluency in written and spoken English, and Arabic, French is an asset. Experience At least 3 years of experience in NGO operations. At least 1 years of experience in Project Management. Good background & expertise in Electoral Law, Electoral Reform and Election Observation is a plus. Computer Skills Expert in main computer applications (Microsoft Office Applications).
