I. About LADE

The Lebanese Association for Democratic Elections (LADE) is a non-profit, non-partisan organization dedicated to promoting electoral integrity and fair representation as cornerstones of a functional democracy. Established in 1996, LADE has played a leading role in advancing electoral reform in Lebanon through evidence-based advocacy, election monitoring, and civic engagement initiatives. Over the years, LADE’s work has expanded to encompass pre-election, election-day, and post-election phases, addressing diverse issues such as media ethics, gender participation, accessibility, and citizen empowerment. LADE remains committed to fostering democratic values and ensuring transparency and accountability in Lebanon’s electoral and political processes.

 

II. Job Purpose

The Project Coordinator will support the effective planning, implementation, and monitoring of LADE’s project funded by the Foreign Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) .The Coordinator will assist in coordinating project activities, ensuring smooth communication and timely reporting, and providing logistical and administrative support to the project team.

 

III. Main Duties and Responsibilities

1. Project Coordination and Implementation

  • Support the development and monitoring of detailed project work plans and activity schedules.
  • Assist in ensuring that project activities are implemented in accordance with timelines and budgets.
  • Contribute to the preparation of project documentation, including concept notes, activity summaries, and follow-up plans.
  • Liaise internally with the project team to ensure effective coordination and follow-up on assigned tasks.

2. Reporting and Documentation

  • Draft, edit, and format project reports, meeting minutes, presentations, and other written outputs in both English and Arabic.
    Compile and organize data and information needed for periodic reports to donors and management.
  • Maintain up-to-date project files and documentation in compliance with LADE’s internal systems.

3. Event and Activity Organization

  • Support the planning and organization of project-related events such as workshops, trainings, and outreach activities.
  • Coordinate logistical arrangements including venue booking, invitations, and materials preparation.
  • Ensure smooth implementation of activities within the approved timelines and budgets.

4. Communication and Coordination

  • Support internal communication among project teams and departments.
  • Prepare and send invitations and follow-up messages to partners and participants as instructed.
  • Assist in drafting short updates or content related to project visibility and communication when needed.

5. Administrative Support

  • Provide logistical and administrative assistance for project activities and events.
  • Support in organizing project documentation, filing, and record-keeping.
  • Perform any additional coordination tasks as requested by the Project Manager or Program Coordinator.

 

IV. Qualifications and Experience

1. Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, Public Administration, International Relations, Law, Development Studies, or a related field.

2. Experience

  • 1–3 years of relevant experience in project coordination, administration, or implementation, preferably within NGOs or international organizations.
  • Experience in organizing meetings, workshops, or public events.
  • Prior experience in report writing, documentation, and communication is highly desirable

3. Skills and Competencies

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Arabic (essential).
  • Strong writing, editing, and reporting abilities with attention to clarity and accuracy.
  • Solid organizational and multitasking abilities with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and basic project coordination tools.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and adapt to dynamic work settings.
  • Familiarity with topics related to elections, governance, or civic engagement is a plus.
