Lebanese Association For Early Childhood Development

Lebanese Association of Early Childhood Development (LAECD) is a national civil society organization providing early childhood services for children including health care and support for children with learning difficulties.
LAECD adhere to the conventions on the human rights, children rights, and the elimination of all forms of discrimination against women, and work on a comprehensive application through engaging in a more democratic and effective frameworks under the umbrella of Lebanese Ministry of Public Health, in cooperation with national and international organizations.
LAECD aims to Ensure every child's right to survival, protection, care, growth from the moment of fertilization until the age of eight. It's an integrated approach to ensure appropriate care through friendly programs focused on family and local environment and institutions providing care for children.
LAECD participate actively in the development of strategies and programmes for child health and educational rights, and protect it from all forms of exploitation, violence and neglect, and active participation in securing the rights of persons with disabilities, notably full implementation of the law on the rights of disabled persons.
LAECD:- Established typical centres: "family care and guidance centres, in cooperation with civil society institutions and municipalities to secure complete service: prevention, care, and guidance, and guidance for families and children;- Pursuit of early detection of disabilities, and promote comprehensive care for them, and work to integrate the owners with special needs (disabled) in the community and in all educational institutions and productivity.– Produce and develop training materials for staff in the areas of childhood in cooperation with the official authorities and academia.– Empower families and communities to ensure proper care for their children and develop their potential by providing them with the knowledge and skills required.
