Radio Operator / Data Clerk

  Objective of the Position:   The RO/DC assists the Operations Manager and is responsible for providing a focus for all information, both externally and to, from and between LAMiNDA operational teams and departments. In this the SRO and Data Clerk will answer directly to the Operations Manager. He / She will coordinate with all other components of the program. In the absence of the Operations Manager, the SRO and Data Clerk will provide continuity and focus, in all operational activities, for the acting or replacement Operations Manager. General responsibilities: Ensure that daily reports received via all available communications networks are entered correctly on the relevant information boards and that all information is updated on a regular basis. Ensure that radio traffic logs are kept up to date and archived on a monthly basis. Ensure that correct voice and net security procedures are maintained. In cooperation with the Medical Coordinator, ensure all team lists, CASEVAC flow charts and contact details are updated and correct at all times, and that all LAMiNDA senior staff and operational teams are informed of any changes or amendments. Collate all available operational reports and update information boards to reflect totals on a weekly and monthly basis: Daily Reports Weekly Summary Reports Weekly Summary Reports  IMSMA RE format Monthly Summary Reports Weekly Intentions Reports Daily Explosive Reports Archive all collated and recorded information. Back up all updated entries onto the Operations external hard drive. Assist in the collation and recording of all training undertaken by all operational personnel. Provide a focus for all operational teams for the LMAC/ RMAC reporting requirements and formats. Provide an operational liaison and coordination focus for all LAMiNDA departments, particularly in cooperation with the FOOs and Site Supervisors, during all phases of tasks (Planning, Deployment, Operations and Redeployment). Coordinate a regular flow of any updated information is distributed to all departments. (Call signs, team lists etc.). Assist the Operations Manager in recording and producing minutes of operational meetings. Be prepared to undergo training and instruction in any subject directly or indirectly related the position as SRO.   Assist the Operations Manager in updating summary lists of warnings issued to operational staff, visitors log, attendance sheets, and in drafting reports or briefings or when updating documentations such as SOP etc. Ensure that warnings issued are submitted to the Administration. Update of Operational Maps/Board and the location of Mine Action Teams. Maintain the “Items found” spreadsheets and making sure it is updated on a daily basis. Register all Task Dossiers issued by the RMAC/LMAC. Maintain copies of all Handover Certificates received from the LMAC/RMAC. Assist the Operations Manager in translating documents (Arabic and English). Work closely with the FOOs, the Data Management Officer and the radio operators to insure that all data are correct. Perform such other duties as may be assigned by the OM   Program Support: Other duties as instructed by the PM.
