The Lebanese Council to Resist Violence Against Woman (LECORVAW) is a non governmental organization working for the purpose of fighting and resisting all forms of Violence Against Women (VAW) and Gender Based Violence (GBV) in Lebanon. Back in 1997 LECORVAW was established by a group of social activists which saw the need to make a stand and stop all forms of violence and discrimination against women, by 1999 LECORVAW had two Listening and Counseling Centers operating in both Beirut and Tripoli fully equipped and ready to receive Women survivors of VAW & GBV and their children and provide them with free social, mental and legal services.
