The project aims to contribute to a decent and economically sustainable business environment for displacement-affected populations in the Bekaa by strengthening the linkage between the local civil society, the business development organizations, and the MSMEs in Bekaa.
To achieve this overall objective, the project will implement activities under three main cluster:
- Cluster 1: Empower a local network of Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) to influence practices and policies related to decent work.
- Cluster 2: Convene an informal network of private business development organizations and professionals with strong decent work capacities in Bekaa.
- Cluster 3: Improve working conditions and accessible decent job opportunities in Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Bekaa.
Who we are?
In 2018, three partners - the Legal Agenda, the Lebanese Observatory for Workers and Employees Rights (LOWER), and Oxfam in Lebanon - met launched the network "My Work, My Rights!” to achieve comprehensive social and legal justice and protection, especially protection for individuals working in the formal and informal labor market in Lebanon, in accordance with international human rights law, Lebanese labor law and international labor standards. The network gathers:
- 15 civil society organizations from all over Lebanon
- 12 core members, and 3 consultant members
Outcome of the service provider work:
The main outcome of the required service is to direct, edit and produces a 2–3-minute film on the scope, outcomes, and strategy of the MWMR network. The film will include footage, English subtitles, and 6 to 8 individual interviews with members coordinated by LOWER. The film should be suitable for public screening and the 1-minute film summary will focus on posting on social media.
Scope of Work:
Under the direct supervision, coordination, and approval of LOWER, noting that all outputs are the sole ownership of MWMR, the service provider will undertake the following:
- Develop the film’s overall concept, scenario, and script.
- Allocate appropriate shoot days for the interviews in each area (total TBD).
- Perform appropriate filming and interviews for up to 8 identified major stakeholders.
- Produce an introductory film on MWMR with a duration of two to three minutes.
- Add English subtitles for the film.
- Include adequate free copy-right background music.
- Produce a one min summary of the initial video for social media.
Operation:
- Conduct regular coordination with LOWER focal person and travel to required shooting areas and stakeholders’ locations.
- Obtain necessary approval and permits for using cameras for time lapse footages.
- Support from LOWER will be provided when needed.
- Provide transportation and all necessary equipment for footage including lighting, sounds, etc.
Eligibility requirements:
- A story board for the video describing the proposed direction of the film.
- A schedule of work following the approved storyboard.
- A first draft video to be submitted for review by LOWER team. The entire development and production process will be closely monitored by LOWER providing continuous review, comments and thematic inputs support when needed.
- A final master high quality video formats of 2 to 3 minutes.
- All raw footages are the sole property of MWMR and shall not be distributed.
Payment distribution:
Payments of total budget will be processed upon delivery of the following product along with invoice in three instalments of:
- The storyboard is approved and signed along with the contract (30%)
- Completion of footage (interviews and content along with design and footage (40%)
- Final approved video & all raw footage (30%)
Reservations & Confidentiality:
The contractor undertakes to maintain confidentiality on all information that is not the public domain. The contractor shall undertake to refrain from promoting any political or religious beliefs in the documentary movie which is the subject of this contract.

All materials arising out of this work shall remain the property of the network.

- At least two examples of past video productions they have explicitly designed and produced.
- At least three examples of past illustrations they have explicitly designed and produced.
- Demonstrated competency with developing and producing illustrations and/or video animations.
- Financial proposal, including a detailed quotation to produce the illustrations and video.
- Proposed workplan and processes for developing the video.
