As an ECD Facilitator, you will play a key role in delivering quality early childhood development and responsive caregiving services to children aged 0–5 and their families. You will work closely with caregivers, community members, and service providers to support child well-being, growth, and development through structured sessions, home visits, and referrals.

Key Responsibilities

1. ECD Delivery & Support

  • Facilitate age-appropriate group sessions using UNICEF-approved ECD curricula.
  • Conduct individual sessions to promote positive parenting, responsive feeding, and stimulation.
  • Set up and maintain ECD-friendly spaces within Makani centers.

2. Child Screening & Early Identification

  • Monitor children’s development using milestone checklists and basic growth screening tools .
  • Identify children at risk of developmental delay or malnutrition and provide appropriate referrals.
  • Support follow-up and case management in collaboration with supervisors and service partners.

3. Caregiver Engagement

  • Lead parenting sessions focused on nurturing care, hygiene, nutrition, and early learning.
  • Offer one-on-one counseling and practical support for caregivers facing challenges.
  • Foster positive relationships with families to encourage continued engagement in Makani services.

4. Community Outreach & Awareness

  • Conduct home visits and mobile outreach in under-served areas.
  • Raise awareness about the importance of early childhood development and available services.
  • Mobilize community leaders, volunteers, and parents to support ECD initiatives.

5. Coordination & Referral

  • Refer children and families to specialized services as needed (health, nutrition, child protection, disability services).
  • Coordinate with health workers, social workers, and other Makani staff to ensure holistic care.
  • Participate in regular team meetings, trainings, and reporting activities.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Public Health, Psychology, Social Work, or related field.
  • Minimum 1–2 years of experience in child development, education, or health programs.
  • Familiarity with early childhood care principles and community-based programming.
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Fluency in Arabic; basic English is preferred.
