Job Summary:

Enumerators are responsible for collecting data through field visits, interviews, surveys, and questionnaires. They work closely with research teams, government agencies, NGOs, or private organizations to gather accurate and reliable information for statistical, research, or programmatic purposes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct interviews with individuals, households, or businesses using structured questionnaires or electronic data collection tools.
  • Accurately record responses and ensure data quality.
  • Travel to assigned locations to perform fieldwork and complete data collection within set deadlines.
  • Verify information for accuracy and completeness.
  • Maintain confidentiality and ethical standards while handling sensitive information.
  • Report any issues encountered in the field (e.g., incomplete surveys, safety concerns).
  • Collaborate with team leaders, supervisors, and other enumerators.
  • Attend training sessions and briefings as required.
  • Submit completed surveys and reports as instructed by the project coordinator or supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree preferred for some roles).
  • Prior experience in data collection, research, or customer service is an advantage.
  • Proficient in using mobile devices or tablets for digital data entry.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Able to work independently and in a team.
  • Comfortable working in diverse environments and traveling to field locations.
