Under the general supervision and guidance of the Programme Director of the “Youth-led Social Cohesion” project, the Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning Officer will be responsible for operationalizing and managing the new MEAL programme, and be in direct relation with LOST MEAL unit.

Job Description :

•    Synthesize internal and external MEAL process audit results into lessons learned and key action points for LOST in terms of improving standard operating procedures, payout implementations and contingency planning.

•    Develop, manage and maintain an MIS database of LOST and log- frame indicators and process audit data and results, ensuring the data collection required to populate the database happens on a regular basis.

•    Conduct training for LOST staff on LOST's MEAL framework (and MEAL in general), providing guidance on LOST’s MEAL processes and objectives.

•    Provide recommendations on and lead the development and design of the LOST evaluation strategy and assist in its implementation.

•    Lead the further development and refinement of LOST's MEAL framework, log-frame, programme and process audit tools, to ensure these continues to evolve and improve with experience to become the standard.

•    Perform other duties as required.

General Skills :

  • Bachelor Degree in Social science, Political Science or any other relevant field
  • A minimum of 3 years of professional experience
  • Communication and reporting skills, preferably from a multi-cultural environment
  • Having detail-oriented reporting skills
  • Performing under pressure
  • Being proficient in English, Arabic in both written and oral skills
