Mentor/ Deir Al Ahmar - Bouday

LOST is seeking to recruit a mentor in Deir AL Ahmar and Bouday
 

Duties and Responsibilities:

•    Conduct classroom observations using approved monitoring tools. 
•    Assess teaching quality, student engagement, and classroom management. 
•    Provide constructive feedback and coaching to teachers. 
•    Support teachers in lesson planning and alignment with learning objectives. 
•    Monitor and document teaching performance and student progress. 
•    Assist teachers in using assessment data to improve instruction. 
•    Conduct individual and group mentoring sessions. 
•    Model effective, child-centered, inclusive, and gender-responsive teaching practices. 
•    Facilitate peer learning and teacher collaboration. 
•    Support implementation of Teaching at the Right Level (TaRL) methodologies. 
•    Guide teachers in grouping students based on learning levels and adapting lessons accordingly. 
•    Promote interactive learning methods and low-cost educational materials. 
•    Strengthen student participation, motivation, and engagement. 
•    Prepare observation reports, coaching reports, and progress summaries. 
•    Participate in training sessions, technical meetings, and quarterly review meetings. 
•    Coordinate regularly with center coordinators, teachers, education officers, UNICEF, and World Learning teams. 
•    Conduct regular field visits to assigned Makani Centers and follow up on action points

Requirements:
 

•    Bachelor’s degree in education, Languages (Arabic/French), Mathematics, Psychology, or a related field.
•    Minimum 3 years of teaching experience in Arabic, French, English or Math at primary or lower secondary levels.
•    Demonstrated experience in teacher coaching, mentoring, or training.
•    Strong understanding of child-centered and active learning methodologies.
•    Excellent observation, analytical, and feedback skills.
•    Strong facilitation, interpersonal, and communication abilities.
•    Proficiency in Arabic and French (required); English is an asset.
•    Strong organizational, reporting, and time management skills.
•    Ability to work collaboratively and adapt to diverse learning contexts.
