Project Coordinator

Lost IS seeking to recruit a Project Coordinator  in baalbeck area

OBJECTIVE:

The Project Coordinator works with the team for the success of the announced project via planning, capacity building, monitoring, assessment, and coordination with partners.

DUTIES:

  • Perform project planning, budgeting, action plans and monitoring processes
  • Plan and facilitate kick-off workshop with different departments, as well as coordinate partner meetings throughout the project period
  • Oversee the development and execution of project deliverables
  • Create a detailed work plan which identifies and sequences the activities needed to successfully complete the project
  • Employ resourcefulness in project design, implementation and monitoring
  • Develop a MEAL framework for the project, including measurable indicators, means of verification, and monitoring tools
  • Monitor the implementation and progress of the project according to approved stated objectives, work plan, budget and record progress by working closely with the MEAL department, and make necessary adjustments to ensure the successful completion of the project
  • Monitor the progress of the project against set indicators in a timely manner
  • Participate in periodic evaluations of the project’s impact on the beneficiaries with support from the MEAL department
  • Coordinate internally with finance, logistics, procurement, MEAL department, HR and program development teams, ensuring a consistent approach to project design, implementation and close out
  • Monitor, evaluate, and suggest changes and improvements in programme and materials based on observations and discussions with beneficiaries, partners, and donors
  • Manage all project funds according to established accounting policies and procedures, and ensure that all financial records for the project are up-to-date
  • Work closely with the financial officer to prepare financial reports and support documentation for donors as outlined in the funding agreements
  • Manage budget spending and forecast including tracking and managing spending per budget line
  • Ensure procurement requests are presented on a timely basis to facilitate timely implementation of field activities
  • Prepare periodic project narrative and financial reports as well as other ad hoc reports, according to LOST’s and the donor’s requirements
  • Review the quality of the work completed with the project team on a regular basis to ensure that it meets the project standards
  • Develop teamwork among the project staff so that a conducive working atmosphere is created and opportunities are provided to share experiences, observations, and challenges
  • Conduct regular field monitoring visits to the project locations to provide support to the team and to ensure quality implementation, as well as peer-to-peer learning
  • Troubleshoot project problems and find creative solutions
  • Represent LOST in relevant forums/clusters, including national authorities and donors
  • Coordinate with the donor
  • Ensure the visibility of the project in compliance with LOST’s and the donor’s standards
  • Conclude the project and submit a fully documented profile of the project

EXPERIENCE AND TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Academic degree in business administration, entrepreneurship, economics, or any other related field
  • A minimum of 3 years of professional experience, preferably in humanitarian context in Lebanon, and more precisely in the livelihood sector
  • Major skills in the field of entrepreneurship, business management, coaching, start-ups, and MSMEs 
  • Demonstrated experience in project coordination, project-level monitoring and evaluation, programme budgeting and programme development and design across a range of projects, as well as active management of diverse teams and cultures.
