Senior Education Officer

The role involves leading the development and implementation of educational programs and retention strategies aimed at supporting students' academic success and well-being. This includes curriculum design, coaching educators, identifying students at risk, and creating a positive and inclusive learning environment through collaboration with all stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the design and delivery of educational content and project-specific curricula.
  • Provide ongoing coaching and support to educators, with a focus on improving classroom management and instructional techniques.
  • Develop and apply methods to identify students at risk of academic failure or dropping out.
  • Coordinate outreach activities to better understand student needs and build strong relationships with learners.
  • Work in partnership with teachers, families, and community members to build a safe and supportive educational environment.
  • Collaborate with school leadership to ensure student retention initiatives align with broader educational goals.
  • Design and implement targeted programs that provide academic support, mentoring, counseling, and related services to enhance student engagement and retention.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of support programs and make data-informed adjustments as needed.
  • Identify students in need of additional academic help and organize appropriate interventions, such as tutoring or peer support.
  • Promote positive behavior and social-emotional development through structured programs and activities.
  • Conduct regular assessments to track progress and outcomes of student support initiatives.
  • Deliver training and capacity-building workshops for educators and school staff on effective strategies for improving student retention and engagement.

Qualifications and Skills Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Sciences, Pedagogy, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in the education sector, including teaching, teacher training, and staff coaching.
  • Strong facilitation skills and experience in delivering capacity-building initiatives.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Arabic and English (fluency required).
  • Ability to work independently with strong time management and organizational skills.
  • High level of flexibility, dedication, and a collaborative spirit.
