Volunteer

LOST is seeking to recruit a Volunteer in Hawsh Rafika.

Key Responsibilities:

Support Learning Activities:

• Assist in implementing non-formal education (NFE) or basic literacy/numeracy sessions.
• Help create a supportive learning environment for children and adolescents.

Child Protection & Psychosocial Support:

• Support facilitators in organizing psychosocial activities such as games, arts, music, and sports.
• Assist in monitoring children’s behavior and well-being and refer concerns to the child protection focal point.

Life Skills Facilitation:

• Participate in delivering sessions that build communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
• Promote youth engagement and participation in center activities.

Community Outreach:

• Raise awareness about MAKANI services within the local community.
• Support families and children in accessing the center and its services.

Administrative & Logistical Support:

• Help maintain attendance records, distribute materials, and support event coordination.
• Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the center.

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; university students/graduates in education, social work, psychology, or related fields preferred
• Previous volunteering or work with children/youth is an asset
• Ability to work respectfully with people from diverse backgrounds
• Basic communication skills in Arabic; English is an asset
