Strategic Roles and Responsibilities
- Manage the academic affairs in the Faculty of Nursing.
- Create and maintain a positive, student-oriented and caring academic atmosphere.
- Lead and manage the development, evaluation and promotion of the nursing programs.
- Adopt innovative and active educational methods to enhance the learning experience.
- Participate with the Dean in the development of the Faculty’s vision and strategy.
- Maintain effective relationships with alumni and relevant internal and external partners.
Operational Roles and Responsibilities
Academic
1. Lead the development and the implementation of the curricula to ensure that programs meet nursing education standards.
- Review and approve all courses’ syllabus to ensure their compliance with the curricula objectives.
- Elaborate tools to evaluate the teaching and educational methods.
- Assign responsibilities and allocate annual workload to the academic staff.
- Recruit new students in accordance with the enrollment objectives and criteria.
- Guide and conduct research related to nursing discipline.
- Serve as a member on the Academic and Disciplinary Council.
- Lead the academic committees and pedagogical meetings.
- Teach courses in the Faculty.
- Coordinate academic and clinical activities related to all the programs.
People Management Roles and Responsibilities
- Recruit, supervise academic staff and evaluate their performance.
- Develop the competencies of staff.
- Report to the Dean issues related to staffing needs, staff concerns, etc.
