Content Development Officer (Part-time position)

Main Role

The Content Development Officer is in charge of finding and creating content of LRC activities and from LRC beneficiaries to share with the public.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties

• Establish good relations with local LRC centers in order to identify potential stories for use for LRC fundraising, recruitment and external communications
• Get leads from sectors on possible success stories, ongoing activities, or other potential opportunities for content creation
• Keep up to date on LRC’s short term activities and long-term strategic priorities in relation to external communication
• Call and visit various LRC centers and LRC beneficiaries, to collect stories and experiences, and capture video footage and pictures
• Prepare short videos for sharing on various channels
• Prepare stories, quotes, and other content for sharing on various channels
• Create and adapt different content according to different donor and beneficiary segments
• Write, review, edit, and update content for LRC websites, social media pages, marketing materials, and other platforms.
• Conduct research and interviews to learn more about current trends, developments, and perceptions, and then contextualizing findings
• Identify donor and beneficiaries needs and create content which will catch maximum interest
• Maintain consistency in content and ensure alignment with the LRC history, image and strategy

Function Specific Experience

• Good writing, proofreading and editing skills
• Excellent interviewing skills and experience
• Strong listening and communication skills.
• Capacity to conduct extensive field visits throughout Lebanon
• Technical knowledge in photography/videography and editing is a plus
• Technical knowledge in basic graphic design is a plus
• The capacity to work independently and collaboratively.
• Experience creating strong, engaging content.
• Understanding of SEO best practices
• Knowledge of various analytics platforms
• Attention to detail and creative mind
