Donor Management Supervisor (Bachelor Degree in Medical Lab Technology or equivalent and Master Degree in a relevant field are a must)

Main Role

The Donor Management Supervisor is responsible to ensure the creation of a pool of voluntary regular blood donors to match the need for blood products through the recruitment and retention of blood donors.

 

Essential Responsibilities and Duties

 Donor Recruitment

  • Develop a plan in coordination with the Deputy BTS Director in order to recruit blood donors and ensure blood donors’ retention in line with the BTS Blood Donor Management strategy
  • Develop an annual plan for the blood donation campaigns, in coordination with the Blood Drive Coordinator, to ensure meeting the forecasted demand
  • Supervise the planning and organizing of blood drives events, mobile camps and awareness workshops
  • Build a network of contacts that will support LRC in providing awareness and organizing blood donation campaigns and events

 Donor Pool Management

  • Communicate the target number of collected blood units to the Blood Drive Coordinator and set a plan to meet the target and satisfy the demand
  • Ensure the proper creation and management of the national central database for blood donors
  • Establish guidelines for scheduling appointments for blood donors in order to ensure the replenishment of blood stock in the BTS Centers and follow up on its implementation

Donor Retention

  • Develop approaches and tools in order to maintain blood donors’ trust (such as gratitude letters sent to donors, promotional/branded items for regular donors)
  • Establish a mechanism to assess donors’ satisfaction and coordinate with relevant parties in order to take corrective actions regarding complaints and received feedback
  • Develop guidelines for following up on regular blood donors (e.g. identifying the number of donations per year, scheduling appointments)

Other related activities

  • Review and discuss monthly and yearly indicators and activity report related to BTS blood donor activity with the Deputy BTS Director in order to manage donation activity
  • Review and discuss the variance report with the Deputy BTS Director in order to assess the progress of BTS activity in terms of donor management (blood needed/forecasted vs blood collected)
  • Supervise and update the LRC BTS website.
  • Supervise the implementation and operation of the BTS CRM software
  • Develop training materials for BTS volunteers in blood drives and awareness sessions to educate and motivate blood donors

People Management Roles and Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and direction to the Blood Drive Coordinator, Blood Drive Technologists and Call Center Operators towards the achievement of goals and objectives
  • Guide, motivate, and evaluate subordinates on their performance, productivity and progress, while identifying training needs of team members to improve efficiency and ensure conformity with the standards Performance Management procedures set by the Human Resources Function
  • Ensure that the Blood Drive Coordinator and Call Center Operators acquire the required skills and knowledge through appropriate training programs

Function Specific Experience

  • Experience in related fields (Customer’s Experience, Blood Transfusion)
  • Experience in supervising and managing a team
