Job title DRR Program Coordinator

Essential Roles and Responsibilities

 

  • Conduct biweekly meetings with the DRR project officers to enhance internal coordination and optimize the DRR operations.
  • In coordination with the DRR Director and PMER coordinator, lead on the development of any new proposal packages (narrative, LFA, budget and other project requirements).
  • Coordinate and oversee the reporting of all projects in close coordination with the PMER Coordinator.
  • When needed, represent the DRR Unit with other LRC sectors, respective PNS, and other relevant stakeholders.
  • In close coordination with the Finance Coordinator, set project budgets, review project expenses and ensure the alignment of the plan of action with the budget.
  • In coordination with the DRR Director and the PMER coordinator, lead on and oversee the progression of the various DRR projects based on project objectives and plan of action.
  • Conduct reflection and learning workshops with team members to ensure capturing all programmatic learnings of the Unit.
  • Oversee performance and development of team members, and provide necessary and timely feedback to Project Officers.
  • Oversee the monitoring of progress against each project’s partnership agreements.
  • In close coordination with the DRR Director, liaise with relevant LRC sectors and programmes for multi-sectoral planning and implementation.
  • Coordinate with the National Field Coordinator for ensuring effective and smooth operations and for identifying gaps and potential improvement channels.
  • Perform literature review on new tools, approaches and methodologies and discuss their usability within the DRR Unit.

    Function Specific Experience

  • Previous experience in working with multiple funding agencies such as AFD, ECHO, EU, GFFO, BMZ, UN agencies and others
  • Previous experience in managing complex grants
  • Previous experience in running humanitarian and development projects
  • Experience in managing teams
  • Profound knowledge of DRR is a plus
  • Previous experience as an LRC volunteer is an asset
  • Experience in Project Cycle Management
  • Experience in Monitoring and Evaluation
  •  

    Industry Related Experience

  • Previous experience in working with NGOs

  • Previous experience in working in emergencies
