- Examine and monitor pregnant beneficiaries, provide necessary treatments and prescriptions as identified necessary and based on protocols set by the HQ
- Provide information, emotional support and reassurance to women and their partners
- Offer support and advice following events such as miscarriage, termination, stillbirth, neonatal abnormality and neonatal death
- Give support and advice on the daily care of the baby, including breastfeeding, bathing and making up feeds
- Prepare beneficiaries for labor, childbirth and postpartum
- Identify high risk pregnancies or complications that require medical assistance and make referrals to relevant Physicians and other medical specialists
- Offer family planning services and preconception care to women who wish to get pregnant
- Identify and refer a beneficiary case which LRC is not able to treat through the set internal and external referral processes
- Respect beneficiary information confidentiality terms in line with set standards and policies
