NCD Project Coordinator

Main Role

The NCD Project Coordinator is responsible for achieving the planned outcomes and benefits from NCD project by overseeing all project activities and measuring their performance based on pre-set performance measurements. He/she shall also ensure project outcomes are optimized, meet quality standards at lower costs and mitigate/overcome risks.

Main tasks and responsibilities :

  • Lead the development of strategic objectives and initiatives of NCD  project in line with MSS overall strategy and objectives
  • Develop and communicate project policies, procedures and processes; ensure sufficient access of MS channels to the required project implementation tools
  • Develop and maintain a program’s master plan and monitor implementation according to budget, time and resources
  • Monitor the team achievements and analyse information for the project
  • Develop and communicate periodical progress reports as scheduled and as necessary
  • Weekly update  on project outcomes to MS director
  • Capture issues and risks and ensure timely resolution and escalation where appropriate
  • Work with local branch committees to prioritize and schedule implementation of the project and monitor the relation with other NGOs and local authorities
  • Organize project inception workshops/meetings with internal and external stakeholders to gather their requirements
  • Participate in design and facilitation of  trainings for staff and volunteers 
  • Coordinate with other LRC Sectors as per project requirements
  • Supervise the employees attendance and  performance under the project and solve any related problem
  • Motivate the staff and maintain a high level of morale, hold monthly regular meetings with the staff under the project
  • Visit and monitor the work in the targeted areas
  • Coordinate with MS HQ team and contribute in elaborating of Health Education materials, tools, SOPs, etc.

  • Practical experience in community health work
  • Experience in managing health programs
  • Experience in leading and managing a team work
  • Excellent communication skills

Industry Related Experience

  • Experience in similar volunteer-based organizations or humanitarian organizations
  • Previous experience as an LRC volunteer is an asset
