Nurse Coordinator

Duties and Responsibilities

Ensure compliance with LRC code of conduct, internal regulations, as well as national and international standards and guidelines.

Strategic tasks and responsibilities

  • Participate in the MSS strategic planning, risk management plan and contingency plan processes.
  • Participate in the design and development of community healthcare needs assessment and community benefits plan.

Operational duties and responsibilities

  • Lead nursing staffing decisions in collaboration with LRC’s HR department.
  • Ensure effective on-boarding of newly hired personnel on their respective roles and responsibilities.
  • Lead the design and implementation of the nursing performance management system and ensure integration with the MSS performance management system.
  • Oversee nurses’ compliance to policies, procedures, and protocols.
  • Analyze and identify the team’s training needs according to MSS strategy, programmes, and national requirements and provide in-house trainings as needed.
  • Promote healthy and ethical working environment and ensure good communication and coordination with each member of the MSS team.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor an integrated nursing quality management plan at headquarter and local levels.
  • Manage and analyze data, monitor performance indicators, report on progress, and suggest improvements.
  • Assess the quality of services provided periodically through regular meetings and field visits to health centers.
  • Review and supervise awareness campaigns plan, execution and evaluation.
  • Participate in the development and execution of MSS program in line with partners’ guidelines and requirements.
  • Supervise the MSS program implementation according to planned objectives, work plans, budget, timeline, deliverables, and indicators.
  • Develop and ensure timely submission of program narrative and quantitative data reports.
  • Supervise proper allocation of resources and appropriate use of supplies and equipment for safe care provision.
  • Manage nursing budget effectively to meet financial targets and take corrective actions when needed.

Technical Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Monitor staff behaviors, practices, and proper execution of professional activities.
  • Monitor proper adherence to nursing practices, clinical guidelines and protocols including medication management and vaccination.
  • Oversee the infection prevention and control process, patient safety, and occupational health and safety in compliance with standards, guidelines, and requirements.
