Main Role
The Project Coordinator provides administrative and operational support to the Project Officers which includes data collection, processing, analysis, monitoring, and reporting. The Project Coordinator has the overall responsibility for reporting to LRC DM Headquarters. The project Coordinator will be responsible of proper follow up on the activities conducted and effective implementation of the project through the distribution and management of cards that fall under the “direct food assistance program” for targeted Syrian refugees.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties
- Lead, coordinate and manage Lebanese Red Cross (LRC) project staff and activities in the area;
- Provide and apply technical and strategic advice to the Program on Monitoring and Evaluation related issues;
- Develop and report against accountability and participation-related indicators and issues, and produce routine reports on accountability activities to the donor
- By facilitating information sharing with key stakeholders, including beneficiaries, ensure that LRC promotes transparency throughout all stages of implementation.
- Support the field team to communicate program learning (through document sharing, presentations, etc.)
- Oversee the implementation and coordination of Monitoring and Evaluation activities at field level and with World Food Programme
- Manage the project Field Office team and the daily/weekly/monthly work plan, ensuring that objectives and monitoring targets are met;
- Facilitate the Indicator Performance Tracker process and run monthly monitoring meetings;
- Plan closely with the project officer regular monthly distributions of e-vouchers (new beneficiaries or replacement of vouchers);
- Plan and organize closely with the project officer the annual Validation exercise of e-vouchers beneficiaries;
- Develop internal control tools to check the quality and accuracy of the collected data;
- Ensure that the distributions and M&E activities are up to WFP quality standards;
- Onsite training of staffs to match with WFP protocols
- Ensure that financial report complies with the donor requirement before submission dates.
- Close follow-up with the project administrative officer to track the project expenditures and financial reporting submission dates.
- Prepare the project annual budget and its forecast;
Function Specific Experience
- Familiarity and field experience in applying principles and approaches to monitoring and evaluation in humanitarian and emergency contexts using both quantitative and qualitative methods;
- Experience in working and coordinating with NGO’s
- Demonstrated management experience with the ability to engage and motivate staff
- Experience with capacity building of staff, and in convening and facilitating trainings and workshops;
- Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to establish effective and working relations with staff and other stakeholders
- Behavioral competencies such as Action Management, Client Orientation, Cognitive Capacity, Innovation, Partnering and Teamwork.
- Previous experience in budget management, forecasting, and billing would be a strong advantage; Previous experience in managing distribution site, and solving distribution related issues
- Familiarity with WFP GRASP platform
Industry Related Experience
- Experience in similar volunteer-based organizations or humanitarian organizations (LRC experience is preferred)
