Grants writer

Position Overview: As a Grants Writer, you will play a pivotal role in securing funding for our organization through the development and submission of compelling grant proposals. You will collaborate with various teams to gather information and create persuasive narratives that effectively communicate our mission, programs, and impact. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of successful grant writing, strong research skills, and the ability to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities:

  • Grant Proposal Development
  • Research, identify, and evaluate potential funding opportunities from government agencies, foundations, and other sources.
  • Collaborate with program managers and other stakeholders to gather information and insights necessary for grant proposals.
  • Develop clear and compelling grant proposals that align with the organization's goals and meet the requirements of potential funders.
  • Grant Research and Strategy:
  • Stay informed about industry trends, funding priorities, and grant opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive database of potential funders, deadlines, and application requirements.
  • Work with the leadership team to develop a strategic approach to grant seeking and fundraising.

Grant Management and Reporting:

  • Monitor and ensure compliance with grant requirements and reporting deadlines.
  • Collaborate with program managers and finance staff to gather relevant data for grant reports.
  • Maintain accurate records of grant submissions, awards, and rejections.
  • Relationship Building:
  • Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with funders, program officers, and other key stakeholders.
  • Attend relevant workshops, conferences, and networking events to stay connected with the funding community.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field international relations, English, Communications, Nonprofit Management.
  • Proven experience in grant writing with a successful track record of securing funding (Minimum 3 Years)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong research and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational and time-management abilities.
