Field Officer

General objective To ensure the smooth running of the Disability Monitor, to coordinate the training activities of the right holders, to provide information to the media officer regarding the Disability Monitor regularly, to maintain good records of all complaint centres. Specific Objectives To set up and manage the activities of the Disability Monitor in the target regions  according to the activity action plan and ensure that all actions envisaged are under taken in an organized and systematic manner. To manage the identification of the right holders in the regions. To maintain accurate information on the activities conducted, obstacles and resources of the Disability Monitor and provide this information to the DM Coordinator. The overall activities of the DM should be report through a monthly report to the DM Coordinator.   Networking and Coordination To set up and implement an action plan and management system within the DM. To liaise with disability organizations working in the target area, provide them with updated information about the Monitor. To coordinate with the other running programs in LPHU regarding the activities and the flow of information. Administration and Reporting Regularly report to the coordinator on all tasks completed and in process. To keep accurate records of all raised complaints by people with disabilities in the DM areas Provide a monthly summary report of all activities conducted in the DM. To provide the DM Coordinator with all information necessary to the database officer to run the master database. Position in the programme The DM Officer works in a team of three and is line managed by the DM Coordinator. Ideal applicant Applicant will have a high level of awareness of disability rights, have some working experience with disability issues and possess a proven track record in implementing and coordinating small scale monitoring projects.
