M & E officer - Beirut area

Job overview:

- Working under the direction of the programs manager, the M&E officer will conduct and implement TDA monitoring and evaluation tools.

- The M&E officer will be responsible for collecting timely and accurate data from the project in order to monitor and evaluate the services provided.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and strengthen monitoring, inspection and evaluation procedures.
  • Monitor project activities, expenditures and progress towards achieving the project output;
  • Recommend further improvement of the logical frame work;
  • Develop monitoring and impact indicator for the project success;
  • Monitor and evaluate overall progress on achievement of results;
  • Monitor the sustainability of the project's results;
  • Provide feedback to the programs manager and Project Manager on project strategies and activities;
  • Suggest strategies to the Project Management for improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the project;
  • Report on all project activities;
  • Develop indicators and a monitoring strategy for the project;
  • Develop baseline data for each project component and for all project indicators;

Knowledge, skills and abilities:

  • Degree in statistics, business administration and data science or other relevant field. Advanced certificate in M&E, statistics preferred.
  • Good knowledge of program implementation, monitoring and evaluation techniques and practices.
  • Familiarity with impact assessment an advantage
  • Good moderation, facilitation and training skills.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Ability to work in a team and good interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to deal with people with tact and diplomacy.
  • Ability to work under time pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint;
  • Good writing, analytical, research and problem‐solving skills;
  • Good understanding of structure and processes in NGOs; 
  • Ability to communicate in public environment effectively;
