Job overview:
- Working under the direction of the programs manager, the M&E officer will conduct and implement TDA monitoring and evaluation tools.
- The M&E officer will be responsible for collecting timely and accurate data from the project in order to monitor and evaluate the services provided.
The Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) Officer is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing the monitoring and evaluation systems and processes for projects or programs. This role ensures the effective collection, analysis, and reporting of data to measure project progress, outcomes, and impact. The M&E Officer works closely with program teams, stakeholders, and partners to ensure that evidence-based decision-making drives program improvement and accountability.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and strengthen monitoring, inspection and evaluation procedures.
- Monitor project activities, expenditures and progress towards achieving the project output;
- Recommend further improvement of the logical frame work;
- Develop monitoring and impact indicator for the project success;
- Monitor and evaluate overall progress on achievement of results;
- Monitor the sustainability of the project's results;
- Provide feedback to the programs manager and Project Manager on project strategies and activities;
- Suggest strategies to the Project Management for improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the project;
- Report on all project activities;
- Develop indicators and a monitoring strategy for the project;
- Develop baseline data for each project component and for all project indicators;
Knowledge, skills and abilities:
- Degree in statistics, business administration and data science or other relevant field. Advanced certificate in M&E, statistics preferred.
- Good knowledge of program implementation, monitoring and evaluation techniques and practices.
- Familiarity with impact assessment an advantage
- Good moderation, facilitation and training skills.
- Excellent analytical skills.
- Ability to work in a team and good interpersonal skills.
- Ability to deal with people with tact and diplomacy.
- Ability to work under time pressure and meet deadlines.
- Computer literate in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint;
- Good writing, analytical, research and problem‐solving skills;
- Good understanding of structure and processes in NGOs;
