Programs Manager Assistant

LPHU is a grassroots organization built by and for people with disabilities. As such, our specific mission is the following: • To defend the rights of people with disabilities; more specifically to work towards their access to equal opportunities and a quality life and to ensure that their basic needs (health, education, employment, socio-economic integration, freedom of choice) are fully respected and guaranteed; • To eradicate marginalization and gender discrimination from the lives of people with physical disabilities; • To mobilize people with physical disabilities to speak on their own behalf; • To promote the spread of a culture of inclusion and right of participation; Assistant Program Manager Responsibilities The Assistant Program Manager responsibilities will usually comprise of assistance in the programs manager. -Assist the programs manager with all finance related tasks - Donors management Build and maintain relation with donors (regular follow up, reporting, field visits, etc.)Participate on donors reports production . Interprets published LPHU guidelines to produce compelling proposals requesting foundation, corporate, and federal funding. Understands funders reporting requirements and collaborates with program staff to ensure clear, timely and accurate reporting of LPHU activities and outcomes. Writing Narrative reports according to donor guidelines in a clear manner ( English)and delivering them before deadlines. Ensure that all requirements of donors are finished in an efficient manner and delivered before deadlines. - Coordination of the project implementation Synchronize and prioritize the resources across projects to fulfill the project goals. Planning, designing, alignment, management and integration of projects. The assistant will discuss with program manager and evolve projects Supervise  over the project proceedings with a future foresight and clear objectives. Assist the programs manager to look into the finalization of the projects in a successful manner by keeping a track of records to access the employee performance in accordance with meeting the timescales and deadlines. Help the manager to do research on different projects to develop new capabilities with an aim to realize the organizational cause. - Researches Coordination Coordination of the research  designs (terms of reference) Follow up on data collection, results achieved and analysis provided -Guidebooks and Toolkit Coordinate the production of the toolkits and guide books Design the term of reference of the guide books and toolkits production Revise the scientific information included in the toolkits and guide books and give recommendation.   Skills required for an Assistant Program Manager The programs manager’s assistant is required to hold several skills of which  excellent spoken and written English language,managerial, leadership, motivational, with a good analytical and planning skills effective time management, should possess overall knowledge about the projects involved, a committed attitude, broad minded with in depth knowledge about the organization policies, goals and strategies, should have a thorough understanding about the implementation of design and other related managerial activities. He must share a good connection with the program manager as well as other colleagues in the organization. An ability to learn through experiences with a good grasping power. He must have team spirit to ensure optimized performance in the realization of company goals.
