Advocacy Trainer

1. Background

 The Lebanese Democratic women’s Gathering- RDFL is a secular non-governmental women's organization which works with the democratic forces and represents a part of the advocacy of secular democratic women’s movement, on the basis of international pacts and treaties, as well as the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the Universal Declaration on the Elimination of Violence Against Women, in order to promote women’s status and participation and empower them, aiming at achieving full equality between both sexes .

2. Objective of the Assignment

The Advocacy Trainer will deliver structured advocacy a training to women participants, with the aim of:

• Enhancing their ability to make informed decisions and manage household finances.
• Strengthening communication, conflict resolution, and advocacy skills.
• Equipping women with practical tools to assert agency, autonomy, and influence positive social change.

3. Scope of Work

The Trainer will be responsible for:

• Designing and developing an advocacy training curriculum tailored to the participants’ needs.
• Conducting training session across Beirut, Mount Lebanon, and Tripoli.
• Monitoring and assessing participant progress using provided tools.
• Submitting a Providing practical advocacy and life skills tools for use beyond the project.

4.Deliverables

• Training Curriculum covering advocacy and life skills.
• Training Sessions: 2 sessions per cycle, across the 3 centers.
• Progress Reports after each cycle.
• Final Report summarizing outcomes, participant feedback, and recommendations.

5. Requirements 

• A degree in education, social work, psychology, or related field.
• Proven experience in designing and delivering advocacy/life skills training.
• Strong understanding of gender issues and women’s empowerment.
• Excellent facilitation, communication, and participatory training skills.
• Ability to adapt training to participant needs.
• Availability to travel to Beirut, Zouk Mikael, and Tripoli.
