This project aims to empower women in Lebanese syndicates to take on leadership roles, influence decision-making processes, and promote gender equality within professional bodies. Following a research and consultation phase with selected syndicates, a series of intensive training sessions will be conducted to strengthen women's leadership, advocacy, and collective action skills, and to support the development and implementation of syndicate-level advocacy plans.
2. Objective of the Assignment
The trainer will be responsible for designing and delivering interactive and practical training sessions that build the leadership, negotiation, advocacy, and strategic planning capacities of young women syndicate members.
3. Key Tasks and Responsibilities
- Develop a training curriculum aligned with project objectives and the needs of participants.
- Facilitate 4 to 5 interactive training sessions covering:
- Women’s leadership and gender-transformative approaches in syndicates.
- Negotiation and alliance-building within syndicates.
- Advocacy tools and influencing strategies.
- Collective action and strategic planning.
- Developing and implementing advocacy campaigns.
- Provide coaching support for participants to develop at least two advocacy plans.
- Work collaboratively with the RDFL technical team and stakeholders.
- Evaluate progress and submit a final report summarizing the training process, outcomes, and recommendations.
4. Deliverables
- A detailed training plan including objectives, agenda, methodologies, and expected outcomes.
- Delivery of all training sessions in an interactive and participatory format.
- At least two participant-led advocacy plans developed.
- A final report including key observations, impact, challenges, and recommendations.
5. Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in training, preferably in women’s leadership, union organizing, or advocacy.
- Good knowledge of the Lebanese context, particularly syndicates and gender-related issues.
- Proven experience in developing and implementing interactive training modules.
- Strong communication and facilitation skills in Arabic (training language).
- Background in working with civil society organizations or women’s rights groups is an asset.
6. Duration and Level of Effort- Total number of working days: [e.g., 5 training days + 3 preparation days + 2 reporting days = 10 days]
- Schedule to be coordinated with RDFL and participants.
