1. Background
The Lebanese Democratic women’s Gathering- RDFL is a secular non-governmental women's organization which works with the democratic forces and represents a part of the advocacy of secular democratic women’s movement, on the basis of international pacts and treaties, as well as the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the Universal Declaration on the Elimination of Violence Against Women, in order to promote women’s status and participation and empower them, aiming at achieving full equality between both sexes.
In relevance to RDFL’s experience and comprehensive plan for tackling the child marriage issue, the organization in partnership with Diakonia is working on the “Acting for Change to Transform (ACT) - against child marriage in Lebanon” project that is aiming at ensuring girls in Lebanon can fully exercise their rights by reducing the prevalence of child marriage, recognizing its harmful impact on their education, health, and overall well-being.
2. Objective of the Assignment
The main objective of this assignment is to design and deliver one (TOT) three-day training sessions on GBV, protection mechanisms, and child marriage for 10 women and 10 girls in BML area to implement initiatives in their local communities targeting other women and girls.
3. Scope of Work
- Conduct a needs assessment to tailor the training content to the specific needs of the participants.
- Design and deliver a 3-day Training of Trainers (ToT):
Days 1–3: Joint training for one group of 20 participants (10 women aged 30–45 and 10 girls aged 18–25). This phase will introduce core GBV concepts and protection mechanisms, and foundational gender awareness.
- Facilitate engaging and participatory training sessions incorporating principles of protection and gender equality.
- Collect feedback and assess the progress of participants to ensure learning objectives are met.
- Prepare and submit a comprehensive final report detailing the training methodology, participant evaluation, challenges encountered, and recommendations.
4. Deliverables
- Training needs assessment tools and report.
- Training plan and curriculum including interactive training materials.
- Successfully conducted 3 days Training of Trainers sessions.
- Prepare and complete participants’ evaluation and feedback tools.
- Final training report including methodology, evaluation results, and recommendations.
5. Methodology
- Use participatory learning approaches.
- Tailor content to the literacy levels and cultural contexts of the target audience.
- Foster a safe and supportive learning environment that encourages open dialogue.
6. Qualifications and Requirements
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Psychology, or related human rights or gender fields.
- Minimum 3-5 years of professional experience working in gender equality and relevant issues
- Demonstrated experience in designing and conducting Training of Trainers (ToT).
Skills
- Ability to create interactive and accessible training materials for diverse learners.
- Excellent facilitation and session management skills.
- Strong understanding of protection principles and gender equality.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Arabic.

- Ability to work with diverse groups and foster a safe, inclusive training atmosphere.
