RDFL is seeking an advocacy coordinator to coordinate and plan advocacy activities and campaigns.
Job Description:
- Leading advocacy initiatives and activities in close coordination with the team manager
- Produce high-quality public and private policy and advocacy materials including talking points,
letters, briefing notes, position papers, and advocacy reports
- Liaising with coordinators and responding to urgent acute issues raised by the field through the
elaboration of advocacy messaging and implementation of relevant initiatives
- Support and/or lead communication activities in close collaboration with the Media
coordinator and head of the department
- Ensure proper documentation of all communications and advocacy data
- Handle advocacy work reporting and spending plan in close coordination with the team
manager
- Organize and initiate events, meetings, and campaigns to ensure that the advocacy plan is active
and moving forwards
- Continuous coordination (follow-up and meetings) with decision-makers, partners and
consultants developing RDFL’s advocacy campaigns
- Ensure the proper implementation of advocacy work in line with RDFL strategies
- Acts as a temporary coordinator for the national coalition on child marriage
- Regularly liaise with relevant in-country stakeholders on issues of concern, including UN, donor
representatives…
- Map and engage partners in line with the advocacy objectives and positively influence decision
makers
- Closely monitor policy debates and media pertaining to Lebanon, the region, and globally
ensuring that relevant information is analyzed and disseminated in a timely and effective
manner
- Respond to external inquiries on policy issues, including briefing policymakers and media
- Support when needed in tasks assigned by the team manager
Previous experience with NGOs and gender issues is a must.
