Child Care

The Childcare worker will be responsible for providing essential childcare for accompanying children of beneficiaries attending the activities of the center, assisting with stimulating and age-appropriate games and tasks.

You need to have an understanding for the principles of child development, and able to care for their basic needs, and be informed about what to do in an emergency situation.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure the safety and welfare of children at times while parents attend the classes.
• Provides a clean, safe and fun childcare environment.
• Setting schedules and routines, preparing rooms setup while developing and encouraging age-appropriate activities
• Ensuring children are learning positive behaviors and providing guidance as needed.
• Maintaining a safe workplace by monitoring children’s health and behavioral issues and reporting concerns to staff.
• Ensuring beneficiaries’ feedback is considered and followed up.
• Attend meetings as requested by RDFL Staff.
• Utilize and protect the educational equipment, such as materials, books, and other learning aid provided by RDFL.
• Carry out related mainstreaming of protection in program daily implementation as per the set RDFL’s Protection mainstreaming guidelines and ensures reporting any breaches/concerns to the line manager for proper action.

Qualifications and Relevant Skills:

• • High school diploma or equivalent in Nursery.
  • 1 to 2 years working experience in childcare, child development, or childhood education.
  • Honesty and trustworthiness, and responsive to constructive feedback and advice
  • Ability to work systematically and organized manner.
  • Ability to listen actively, understand, communicate effectively, and discuss with supervisors and youth on their learning problems and psychosocial requirements.
  • Ability to respect and maintain confidentiality.
  • Fluent in spoken Arabic, English is preferred.
