The M&E Officer will support the design, implementation, and management of monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning systems to ensure that programs are effective, evidence-based, and responsive to the needs of affected populations. The role contributes to organizational accountability to beneficiaries, donors, and other stakeholders, and promotes a culture of learning and continuous improvement.

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Develop and implement data collection tools and protocols for monitoring and evaluation purposes.
  •  Collect, analyze, and interpret data to assess the effectiveness and impact of the organisations' programs and projects.
  •  Prepare regular reports on program and project performance, including progress towards targets and indicators.
  • Provide technical assistance to program staff in the design and implementation of monitoring and evaluation activities.
  • Maintain a database of program and project information for monitoring and evaluation purposes.
  • Contribute to organizational learning by documenting lessons learned, best practices, and recommendations for program improvement.
  • Ensure that program and project activities are aligned with the organization's strategic plan and donor requirements.
  • Ensure that the project is implemented in a gender-sensitive and inclusive manner.
  •  Provide training and capacity building to staff on M&E concepts, tools, and techniques.
  • Accomplish any other tasks allocated by the line manager or the HR.

Requirements: 

Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, statistics, development studies, or related field.

Minimum 2–3 years of experience in M&E or MEL in NGOs or development settings.

Strong skills in data collection, analysis, and reporting.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and digital data collection tools.

Knowledge of qualitative and quantitative M&E methods.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Arabic and English.

Strong organizational and time management skills.
