Lebanon Family Planning Association for Development & Family Empowerment (LFPADE); is a Lebanese NGO that has been working in Lebanon since 1969 to enhance the wellbeing of all the family members and especially to empower women to improve their status within their families, communities and at the national level.
The LFPADE is currently implementing the project: Promotion of the Economic Status of Women in South Lebanon; Tyr Region funded by the UN Women/ Fund for Gender Equality. The FGE is a unit within the UN women that support innovative and high-impact programmes that yield concrete results in the lives of women, especially those who are marginalized such as rural women, their families and communities
The goal of the project is: Strengthened socio-economic status of women in the marginalized regions of South Lebanon, especially Tyr, through economic empowerment, an important component of gender equality.
Outcomes:
Increased Women`s productivity and their control over and access to economic resources and enhanced access to markets and financial products to women entrepreneurs’ especially rural women in South Lebanon.
Strengthened women networks and organizing to create a combined force for entrepreneurs and cross exchange
Outputs:
build the capacity of 300 women entrepreneurs in South Lebanon
Develop Marketing strategies to enhance the position of the women entrepreneurs in the market
Strengthened Women networks and organizations to create a combined force for entrepreneurs and cross exchange
Establish coordinating and complimentary frameworks that will insure sustainability
Create coalitions of women entrepreneurs to push for common agenda for women empowerment at the local level
The project was launched in April 2016 and will continue till August 2019; The LFPADE is seeking a consultant to undergo monitoring and reporting of activities as outlined below.
Duties & responsibilities
* Provide quality assurance and technical support to LFPADE in program management and monitoring
• Provide quality assurance of program documents through review of results frameworks in order to meet RBM framed principles and guidelines
• Provide technical support in the development and effective implementation of monitoring systems for the Project including the development of monitoring guidelines and tools;
• Visit the targeted region to support monitoring of results and planning processes as required;
* Provide technical support and preparing relevant material and reports, including supporting results based reporting and RBM framed planning as well as dissemination of information/knowledge to donors and respective teams.
* Contribute to The Project visibility, including but not limited to the preparation of press releases, success stories, and follow-up, as guided, to ensuring appropriate coverage of events and results.
* Support the Project implementation and partnership base through identifying avenues for expansion and upscaling.
* Contribute to the writing of substantive reports and outputs for various purposes, including inputs for donor reports, speeches and newsletters, Profiles, communication pieces, fund raising efforts and other needs.
* Contribute to capacity building of Project cooperatives and beneficiaries.
* Support processes of generating, codifying and dissemination of good practices, lessons and Knowledge based on monitoring and evaluation results, including identify good practices and preparing knowledge products, including continuous updates on success stories and lessons learned
Deliverables:
*Timely and quality planning processes;
*Timely monitoring and reporting technical assistance
*Timely and quality progress and results reports;
*Quality tracking of contracts and donor agreement;
*Quality information and advice to LFPADE
*Quality communication pieces and results reports
• Advanced University degree in entrepreneurship, programme management, and social innovation considered an asset.
Experience:
• 3-5 years of relevant national/international working experience in international development with substantive experience in the area of development and or gender equality and women’s empowerment issues;
• Preferably 3 years of which experience working in the area of monitoring and reporting, including proven track-record in the design and implementation of comprehensive monitoring systems;
* Proven experience in reporting and professional writing skills.
