I. INTRODUCTION

NGO's Background Information

The Lebanon Reforestation Initiative (LRI) is a Lebanese NGO registered at the Ministry of Interior and Municipalities under no. 1186 on 18 June 2014. LRI started as a project launched in 2010 by the United States Forest Service (USFS) Office of International Programs (IP) through the support and funding of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). LRI's mission is to restore Lebanon's native forests and to instill commitment to reforestation and wildfire prevention and response, through capacity building of local communities and organizations.

LRI has signed an MOU with Ehmej Municipality to support in the management of Arz Ehmej, the ecotourism/conservation area in Ehmej.

II. PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

LRI seeks a full-time Concierge for Arz Ehmej for the period of one year, renewable based on available funding and performance. The concierge will help the NGO team ensure safety and security, support in maintenance of facilities and provide room service to bungalow visitors.

The Concierge is expected to perform the following duties related to the Arz Ehmej activities:

• Provide security and follow up on security cameras at all times, including night security;
• Stop and report any action that might negatively affect the facility or the safety of the visitors;
• Provide room service to the bungalows, including delivering breakfasts to the bungalows;
• Support in customer service at the restaurant as needed;
• Follow up on maintenance of facilities and coordinate with LRI’s Procurement & Grants Manager for any needed procurements related to maintenance;
• Water and maintain the landscaping areas around Arz Ehmej;
• Support in driving the cleaning staff to and from bungalows at check-out;
• Assist in any other related activities may reasonably be required;
• Report to LRI’s Project Manager.

III. REQUIREMENTS 

 The Concierge should possess the following competencies, skills, and experience:

• Proven practical knowledge in the field of hospitality, customer service, security, or related fields;
• At least 3 years of relevant experience;
• Strong analytical, communication and inter-personal skills;
• Skilled in handwork, maintenance and field work;
• Living in Ehmej;
• Basic language knowledge.
