Data Collection Officer

I. INTRODUCTION

Project Background Information

The Lebanon Reforestation Initiative (LRI) is a Lebanese NGO registered at the Ministry of Interior and Municipalities under no. 1186 on 18 June 2014. LRI is managing several projects among which a project funded by the World Food Programme (WFP) aiming at improving livelihoods in vulnerable communities through the implementation of reforestation and forest management activities.

The project is operated by LRI’s offices in Jdeideh, with support from LRI field team in the North.

 II. PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

LRI seeks a full-time Data Collection Officer for the project for the period of 16 months from August 1st, 2019 till November 30th, 2020. The data collection officer will help the project team ensure smooth work progress and compliance with WFP requirements.  

The Data Collection Officer is expected to perform the following duties:

• Develop the Data collection tools and systems;
• Compile the field and workers data on daily basis;
• Compile the workers service and payment lists;
• Check attendance lists on daily basis; and
• Support the project staff and the M&E department when needed.

III. EXPECTED DELIVERABLES 

Specific deliverables include but are not limited to:

• Regular reports on workers data (number of workers hired, workers profile data, etc);
• Regular reports on field data;
• Data compilation; and
• Service and payment lists compilation.

IV. REQUIREMENTS

The Data Collection Officer should possess the following competencies, skills, and experience:

• Good academic and proven practical knowledge in the field of finance, accountant, data collection and data entry;
• At least 1-2 years of relevant experience working with data collection/data entry;
• Strong analytical, communication and inter-personal skills;
• Excellent reporting skills;
• Fluency in both written and spoken English and Arabic.
